The Pilots got their second goal with less than five minutes left. After a corner kick, the ball was deflected around in front of the goal, and Winters got her body on it. She knocked the ball back to Woznuk, who hit a hard drive from a few yards away that went inside the right post for her seventh goal of the season.
Pepperdine junior goalkeeper Kayla Stolte (Santee, Calif./West Hills HS) made six saves and did well on a couple of occasions to stop the Pilots from scoring more than twice.
The Waves ended their home season with a 4-3-4 record at Rokus Field. They have never had a losing season at home in the program’s 15 seasons.
