Women's Soccer Wins 2-1 at UCSB

It was the Waves’ first win away from home in five tries this season and the victory extended the team’s unbeaten streak to seven games. Pepperdine improved to 3-4-5 overall while UCSB dropped to 5-6-2.
After the Gauchos took a 1-0 lead at halftime, Wynne (El Cajon, Calif./University HS) struck in the 71st and the 80th minutes, both off assists from junior forward Amanda Rupp (Encinitas, Calif./La Costa Canyon HS). They were Wynne’s first two goals of the season, while Rupp now has a team-high four assists.
Wynne attempted six of the Waves’ nine shots, while the Gauchos had a total of 10 shots.
The Waves begin West Coast Conference play on Sunday (Oct. 14) at home against Loyola Marymount at 1 p.m.
