Malibu, Calif. - The No. 9 Pepperdine men's tennis team recorded its sixth straight win after defeating No. 63 BYU 6-1 Friday afternoon at the Ralphs-Strauss Tennis Center in Malibu, Calif. With the loss, the Cougars fell to 2-3 on the season.

Scott Doerner and Andre Begemann's 8-3 victory over Jose Lechuga and James Ludlow in the No. 1 doubles position was followed by Ivor Lovrak and Omar Altmann's 8-3 victory over Dominik Kaufhold and Ivan Kokurin in the No. 3 position clinching the doubles point for the Waves.

Success continued for Pepperdine in singles as Doerner, Lovrak, Richard Johnson, Begemann and Altmann registered victories.

The Waves are back in action on Saturday, February 4 for a double header beginning at 10 a.m. against Cal Poly followed by a 2:30 p.m. match against Wisconsin.
