Malibu, Calif. - When Pepperdine hosts the men's tennis West Coast Conference Championships this weekend, they will not only have home court advantage, but the number one seed as they chase their 15th consecutive crown. Following an 18-2 regular season, including a perfect 12-0 record at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center, the Waves enter the tournament as the 7th-ranked team in the country. Live scoring will be available for all tournament matches.

The Waves are riding a twelve match winning streak and are one of the hottest teams in the county, thanks in large part to their doubles play. Headed by Scott Doerner and Pedro Rico, the Waves secured all 22 of the doubles points they played in 2005. For their efforts and a recent 9-8 defeat of Stanford's No. 4 Sam Warburg and KC Corkery, the Pepperdine pair is now the second-ranked team in the nation.

Head coach Adam Steinberg's deep lineup also consists of the teams of Ivor Lovrak and Jonas Berg, as well as Richard Johnson and Kevin Borzenski. Combined the Waves' doubles teams are 50-10 in dual matches this season.
