Malibu, Calif. - Seniors Pedro Rico and Ivor Lovrak of the nationally-ranked Pepperdine men's tennis team will compete in the 2005 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships hosted by The Ohio State University beginning November 3-6 at the Racquet Club of Columbus. The Waves join the nation's elite collegiate players in the final event of the fall tennis season.
Rico was an at-large pick for the competition in singles, while he and Lovrak won an automatic bid after winning the West-South Regional Championships in doubles held at Pepperdine University.
In the first round of singles play, Rico will face the No. 2-seed John Isner of Georgia and in the first round of doubles action, the Wave duo takes on Boise State's Luke Shields and Thomas Schoeck, who are seeded fourth in the tournament.

Members of the men's tennis team will also be competing in the Southern California Intercollegiate Championships in Los Angeles, Calif. from November 3-6.
Competing in the qualifying singles are freshmen Kyle Ganzer, Peter Luck and Troy Aiken and senior Kevin Borzenski. Junior Richard Johnson will see action in the singles main draw. Johnson and teammate Borzenski will also participate in doubles play.
In the first round of qualifying singles, Ganzer faces UC San Diego's Erik Oijala; Luck faces Pacific's Cole Billings; Aiken takes on USC's Whit Livingston and Borzenski will play Jaysen Chung of UCLA.
