The Pepperdine women's golf team's streak of five consecutive NCAA Championships appearances came to an end on Saturday when it placed 12th at the 21-team NCAA West Regional Championships contested at the par-72, 6,159-yard Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, California.

The Waves shot a final-round score of 17-over par 305 to finish play with a 54-hole total of 917 and missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships by four strokes.

Second-ranked UCLA, which led after each round, captured the event with a 3-under par total of 861 to finish seven shots ahead of runner-up California (868). The Bruins were the only team in the tournament to finish under par.

In addition to UCLA and California, the six other teams to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Auburn, Alabama, May 18-21, include host Stanford, Washington, Georgia, Ohio State, Arizona and Washington State.

The Cougars gained the final spot after defeating Texas and Oregon in a playoff. All three teams completed 54 holes with a 913 total.

UCLA's Hannah Jun claimed individual medalist honors with a 7-under par score of 209 to place two shots ahead of Ohio State's Allison Hanna, who carded a 5-under par total of 211. Charlotte Mayorkas of UCLA and Cal's Anna Temple tied for third with 2-under scores of 214.

Cal State Northridge's Elizabeth Allen placed fifth with a 1-under par total of 215.

Sophomore Carolina Llano was the top finisher for Pepperdine as she tied for 18th with a 6-over par score of 222.
