Pepperdine will open the Second Annual "Battle of the Beach" Tournament on Thursday when it hosts Brigham Young at Eddy D. Field Stadium beginning at 2 p.m.
Also joining the Waves and Cougars in the four-day tournament are Cal State Northridge and Nevada.
A pair of games are scheduled for Friday as BYU and Nevada will play at 10 a.m. and will be followed by Pepperdine and Cal State Northridge at 2 p.m.
The schedule calls for BYU and Cal State Northridge to square off against one another at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the Waves and Wolf Pack slated to meet at 2 p.m.
The tournament concludes on Sunday when Cal State Northridge and Nevada meet at 1 p.m.
Pepperdine enters Thursday's game with a 2-5 record and is coming off an 8-6 loss at UCLA on Tuesday. It was the second straight loss for the Waves, who fell 6-5 to UC Santa Barbara on Monday.
All seven of Pepperdine's games this season have been decided by three runs or less, including three by one run.
Brigham Young brings a 3-11 mark into Thursday's contest and snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory at San Jose State on Sunday.
Cal State Northridge is 5-9 on the season after dropping an 8-3 decision at San Diego State on Tuesday. The Matadors have lost seven of their last eight games.
Nevada is currently 4-5 on the year and is coming off two straight losses at UNLV last weekend.
