MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine baseball team grabbed the lead early, unable to hold it throughout the game as LMU took control in the later innings.
The Waves (12-42, 7-17) were able to come alive offensively, but five home runs by the Lions (27-27, 14-10) resulted in a 10-3 loss for Pepperdine's final game of the season.

Cole Sheehan (Phoenix, Ariz.) had a solo home run in the seventh, his first of the season.
Graduate RHP
Lucien Wechsberg (Camarillo, Calif.) pitched 2.0 innings in just his second start of the season, allowing three hits with no runs.
Freshman designated hitter
Danny Cook (Monument, Colo.) was one of two players to go .500 at the plate this afternoon, tallying on an RBI as well.

Pepperdine would go silent on offense for the next five innings as LMU scored five unanswered runs to take a 5-2 lead at the end of six.
Sheehan cut the deficit to two in the bottom of the seventh with his first home run of the season, sending a ball sailing over the right field wall to make it a 5-3 game with two innings to go.
The Lions came back with a vengeance, doubling the visitor's score without another added by Pepperdine, ending the game with a final of 10-3.
