Sami Ozzor enters his second season with the Waves in 2026-27. He joined Pepperdine women's tennis in August 2025 as an assistant coach.
In his first season in Malibu, Ozzor helped lead the Waves to an NCAA quarterfinal appearance. Pepperdine posted a 21-5 overall record, which included 13 ranked wins and five victories over top-10 opponents. The Waves went undefeated in conference play and on the road throughout the season, winning the WCC Championship eventually knocking off sixth-ranked Oklahoma on the road in the NCAA Super Regionals.
A Daytona, Florida native, Ozzor joined the Waves following a standout collegiate career at Stetson University.
During his time with the Hatters, Ozzor compiled an impressive singles record, featuring marks of 17-4 in 2025 and 14-4 in 2024. In doubles, he logged a 5-1 total record across his junior and senior campaigns. He was a member of the Hatters squad that advanced to the ASUN Championship match in 2025, as Ozzor clinched in the semifinals with the match tied 3-3.
His freshman season saw Ozzor burst onto the scene with an 11-2 overall singles mark including a 6-1 record in conference play. He was named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team following his standout debut campaign.
Before his collegiate career, Ozzor was among Florida's top junior players. A graduate of Spruce Creek High School, he was named Mr. Tennis in Florida, captured a state singles championship and claimed the Bobby Curtis Boys 18s title in 2020. He achieved the No. 1 USTA ranking in both the Boys 16s and 18s divisions and was ranked as high as No. 1 in the state while also earning a four-star recruit rating and a top-100 national ranking.
Off the court, Ozzor earned ASUN Academic Honor Roll recognition and graduated from Stetson in 2025 with a degree in finance.
