PERSONAL: Daughter of James and Nancy Pinkerton ... Has two younger sisters, Sarah and Abigail ... Her aunt, Kathleen Widuch, swam at Southern Methodist University ... Majoring in physics ... Chose Pepperdine because of its "great size, academic opportunities, study abroad programs, swim team and the location."
 
FAVORITES: Enjoys puzzles, art and photography ... Favorites include Missy Franklin (pro athlete), Chicago Bulls (pro sports team), The Great Gatsby (book), Now You See Me (movie), Hawaii Five-0 (TV show), Katy Perry (musical artist), pasta (food) and tennis (sport other than swimming) ... Favorite thing about swimming is “the feeling of being in water, being able to let go of everything around me, feeling like I am flying through space.”
