HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Sunset High School, located in Beaverton, Ore. ... Swam four varsity seasons, competing in the 50 free, 100 free, 100 back, 200 IM and relays … Was a team captain on her state title winning team her senior year … Was All-Metro League first team junior and senior years, and second team as a freshman and sophomore … Part of OSAA record-setting relay teams in the 200 and 400 free as a junior … Earned Scholar-Athlete recognition all four years.
CLUB: Swam for the Multnomah Athletic Club for 12 years … Was a state qualifier and finalist each year since 2012, Age Group Sectionals qualifier, Senior Sectionals and Senior Zones qualifier and finalist, and was a Mel Zajac (Canadian meet) qualifier.
PERSONAL: Born in Portland, Ore. … Daughter of Ellen Ferguson and Robert Westlake … Has two younger siblings, Claire and Jonathan … Mother swam at UCLA and father was part of UCLA’s club surf team … Majoring in sports medicine … Chose Pepperdine because “the location is absolutely wonderful. But beyond that, I really admire the community that the school has built, especially through the church. For academic reasons, I was drawn to the sports medicine major that’s offered and the study-abroad program. Additionally, I would be able to swim for the team, which was very important to me.”
