Biography
Jessica Mosbaugh is in her second season as an assistant coach with the Waves after wrapping up a brilliant athletic career at Pepperdine.
She helped Pepperdine to a fourth-place finish at the PCSC Championships during her first season as a coach in 2016-17.
Mosbaugh was a four-year standout swimmer for the Waves, graduating in 2016 with a degree in psychology.
She posted one of the most impressive careers in program history during her time in Malibu, graduating with Pepperdine records in the 200 breaststroke (2:14.57), 100 breaststroke (1:02.26), 200 butterfly (2:05.62) and 200 IM (2:05.23). Mosbaugh also won individual PCSC titles in the 200 breaststroke in 2014 and 2015, and won the 100 breaststroke title in 2016. Mosbaugh still owns 17 top five Pepperdine times in seven different events, including two relays.
Following her graduation, she spent the summer coaching for the Golden West Swim Club in Huntington Beach, Calif. where she worked under Mark Schubert, who has coached the U.S. National Team and been a part of the Olympic coaching staff for seven Summer Olympics. Mosbaugh also continues to teach swimming lessons, which she has done for the past eight years.
She hails from Los Alamitos, Calif. and currently resides in Malibu.
