After wrapping up an amazing swimming career at Pepperdine, Jessica Mosbaugh remained with the program as an assistant coach. She is in her fourth season in 2019-20.

During her first three seasons as an assistant, the Waves posted a pair of top-five finishes at the PCSC Championships as well as a 2nd place finish in 2019 and set six school record.

Mosbaugh was a four-year standout swimmer for the Waves, graduating in 2016 with a degree in psychology.

She posted one of the most impressive careers in program history during her time in Malibu, graduating with Pepperdine records in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.26), 200 breaststroke (2:14.57) and 200 IM (2:05.23). She also previously held the record in the 200 fly. At her time of graduation, Mosbaugh had 17 top-five Pepperdine times in seven different events, including two relays.

Mosbaugh won individual PCSC titles in the 200 breaststroke in 2014 and 2015, and won the 100 breaststroke title in 2016. She was named the Division I PCSC Swimmer of the Year in both 2013 and 2014.

Following her graduation, she spent the summer coaching for the Golden West Swim Club in Huntington Beach, Calif., where she worked under Mark Schubert, who has coached the U.S. National Team and been a part of the Olympic coaching staff for seven Summer Olympics. Mosbaugh also continues to teach swimming lessons, which she has done for the past eight years.
