Mother played college soccer at Cal State Dominguez Hills and won an NCAA Division II national championship in 1991 ... Sister Courtney played soccer at Irvine Valley College ... Favorite thing about soccer is “that it connects so many people from all over the world because it truly is ‘the beautiful game.’ I love that it allows me to be creative and express myself as a player because the plays aren’t scripted and I am free to respond in the moment. I also love soccer because even though there is an element of individuality, it is a team sport that offers such a unifying feeling when I am playing with and for my teammates to achieve a goal.”
