Jasmine Hotchkins is in her first season as the Pepperdine women's basketball director of operations in 2022-23.

Hotchkins joins Pepperdine after spending one season in the Pacific Northwest with West Coast Conference foe Portland as the director of operations for the women’s basketball team.

“We are thrilled to add Jasmine to our family,” said Dowling on Hotchkins. “She brings energy, excitement, passion, creativity and experience in the DOBO role. She will be a great addition to our team. Our players will quickly love her.”

Prior to her season with the Pilots, Hotchkins was an assistant coach for Phoenix Fire Prep, an AAU squad based in Arizona. Before she was coaching with the Fire, Hotchkins had assistant coaching stints at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., and at Eastern New Mexico University.

“Having the opportunity to be the director of operations for Pepperdine women’s basketball was a no brainer,” said Hotchkins. “I believe in the mission Coach Kristen and the staff has set forth and I’m thankful for her for letting me be a part of it. I’m excited to be back on the west coast!”

Hotchkins is a former collegiate guard, having played at Eastern New Mexico and East Tennessee State University. While she attended East Tennessee, the Buccaneers advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament and were runners-up in the 2014 Southern Conference Tournament. Additionally, they earned a WNIT appearance in 2015.

She graduated from Eastern New Mexico in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and nutrition, where she also helped guide the Greyhounds to winning seasons as well as a conference championship in 2016-17. Hotchkins then went on to earn her master’s degree in kinesiology at Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2020 and was also the graduate assistant with the Islanders’ women’s basketball team, assisting the director of operations with various duties.
