Jen Triggs, a 1992 Seaver College graduate and cross country letterwinner, is in her third season on the Waves[apos] cross country and track coaching staffs as a volunteer assistant coach in 2014-15.
Triggs, formerly Jen Fritz, was the first Pepperdine runner to cross the finish line at the 1992 West Coast Conference cross country championship, and placed seventh overall with a time of 20:01. Triggs was honored as an All-WCC first team selection for her efforts.
She graduated Pepperdine with a degree in sports medicine and later attended Columbia University in New York, N.Y. In 1998, she finished work on her master[apos]s degree in nutrition and applied physiology.
Triggs has spent extensive time studying and teaching yoga, and has worked as a fitness instructor in Santa Monica since 2002.
From 2002-04, Triggs found herself back at the Malibu campus teaching health and wellness classes for Pepperdine[apos]s physical education department.
Since 2005, she has owned and operated Lavender Bliss Mist, a boutique organic lavender company that sells lavender products from her family[apos]s farm in Santa Ynez, Calif. to local stores.
