PEPPERDINE TRACK 2025 (FR): Competed in nine outdoor track meets as a true freshman, specializing in the mid-distance events ... Ran his collegiate-best time in the 800 meters at the Oxy Invitational (5/3) ... Ran legs of the 4x400-meter relay at the Vince O'Boyle Invite (3/28-29) and the Gaucho Relays (3/1) ... Made his collegiate debut by running the 600-meter dash at the Westmont Sunshine Open (2/8).

PEPPERDINE XC 2024 (FR): Competed in one race as a true freshman ... Made his collegiate debut at The Master's University Cross Country Invitational (10/5).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from St. Andrew's Episcopal High School, located in Austin, Texas, where he held the school records in the 800-meters, 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays in 2024 ... Was a team captain in both cross country and track ... In track, was a five-time all-conference selection and was named most improved of his team twice ... As a senior, helped the Highlanders win the 4x800-meter relay at the SPC Conference Championships ... Ran his personal-best times in the indoor 800-meter dash (1:57.04) and the mile (4:38.28) as a senior ... As a junior, ran his personal-best outdoor 800-meter dash time of 1:56.78 at the 2023 Running Lane Championships, which was good for fifth place in his heat ... Also clocked his fastest 400-meter dash time of 52.07 as a junior ... In cross country, helped the Highlanders win an SPC State Title as a senior in 2023 after the team placed second at the same meet in 2022 ... Also lettered in soccer, tennis, swimming and lacrosse.

PERSONAL: Son of Richard and Jennifer Nield ... Has one sister, Fiona ... Plans on majoring in finance ... Chose Pepperdine because of the "great weather, spiritual resources and proximity to a major international airport."

Names Cristiano Ronaldo as his sports hero ... Favorite part about running is "it often is a lonely pursuit. You wake up early and go to bed early. It can often be challenging to find time for friends or family because you are exhausted from the previous training session. It is worth it during those barn-burning workouts on the track. That is when I feel most alive."
