HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from John Burroughs High School, located in Burbank, Calif., in 2022 … Played two years of varsity baseball … As a senior was named All-CIF first team and All-Pacific League first team … Helped John Burroughs become the 2022 CIF champion … Senior season had an overall record of 10-2 with an ERA of 0.89, 107 strikeouts in 78.3 innings pitched and four shutouts … During the 2022 playoffs, had three wins and no losses with 30 strikeouts in 21 innings pitched … Named team co-MVP and Pitcher of the Year his senior year.
 
PERSONAL: Born in Burbank, Calif. … Son of Brian and Kate Nichols … Brother to Hudson … Father played professional baseball and was a pitcher in the New York Mets organization … Mother played four years of club rugby at William and Mary … Chose Pepperdine because “I was impressed with the development nature of both the academic side and baseball program of Pepperdine. I also really enjoy the Christian campus culture.”
