Women's Volleyball Picked to Finish Second in WCC Preseason Poll

Three Waves make WCC Preseason Team
SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Volleyball season is rapidly approaching and this morning, the WCC announced its preseason Coaches Poll in addition to the Volleyball Preseason Team.
The Waves were picked to finish in second place behind San Diego, who took the WCC crown last season. The Toreros collected nine of the 10 first-place votes, with Pepperdine getting the last.
Ella Piskorz, Chloe Pravednikov, and Tristen Raymond were among the 16 student-athletes to make the Preseason Team.
All three are likely no surprise to Pepperdine fans, as Piskorz is coming off a season in which she led the WCC in blocks with 151 and ranked 12th in points with 351.5. A rising junior, Pravednikov is one of the Waves' best offensive threats. She paced Pepperdine in 2025 with 310 kills and 992 total attacks, ranking 16th in the WCC with 338.0 points. Rounding out the trio is sophomore Tristen Raymond, one of the better defenders in the conference. She racked up 272 digs last season, 14th-best in the WCC. Her 749 assists were also fourth-best in the conference.

ABOUT PEPPERDINE WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Pepperdine women's volleyball has reached 26 NCAA Tournaments since 1981 as one of the most successful collegiate programs on the West Coast. The 12-time WCC Champions Waves have consistently produced top talent with 21 All-American selections with honorees in six straight decades. With multiple Olympians going through the program, Kim Hill brought home the program's first gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games.
