FRISCO, Texas — Pepperdine women's golf saw three athletes named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, announced today by the WGCA.
Sophomores Grace Anderson and Eunseo Choi along with freshman Irene Kim earned the distinction.
Anderson and Choi have landed on the list in consecutive seasons to begin their collegiate careers, as the Waves have boasted 34 all-time selections from 17 athletes. The three honorees marks the most in program history while Pepperdine has now seen honorees in 17 of the past 18 academic years.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected,
a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
"A great way to conclude a very successful season with three of our players earning this honor for a true student-athlete," said head coach Laurie Gibbs. "We had other players that just missed the high standard of a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Everyone is excited to start the 2026-27 season in less than two months."
Choi was a WCC All-Academic Team member in addition to earning WGCA and Golfweek All-American recognition while tabbing WCC Player of the Year honors. A sophomore Sport Administration major, Choi helped lead the Waves to match play at the NCAA Championship with a top-20 individual finish, as she finished top-20 in 10 of 11 tournaments this season. She is now one of ten Waves to earn multiple All-American Scholar recognitions.
Anderson earns her second straight All-American Scholar recognition in addition to being named All-WCC Honorable Mention this season. A sophomore Business Administration major, Anderson's season was highlighted by a seventh-place finish at the WCC Championship. Overall, she placed top-30 in six tournaments while joining Choi as one of ten Waves to now have multiple All-American Scholar nods.
Kim earns All-American Scholar honors following her freshman collegiate season, after joining Pepperdine in the Pre-Business Administration program. Kim made multiple appearances for the Waves throughout the regular season, finishing 28th at the Fresno State Classic while logging top-50 marks at the Bruin Wave Invitational and Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
The trio helped the Waves earn the WCC Championship, a runner-up finish at the Stanford NCAA Regional and a T-5th finish at the NCAA Championship in 2025-26.
