
Women's Golf Ranked No. 9 in Final Team Rankings; Three Waves in Top-50 Individually

The Waves saw their season conclude this week after making match play at the NCAA Championship. Pepperdine's head-to-head mark finishes at 120-34-2 on the season, securing the No. 9 ranking.
Pepperdine rose throughout the fall from outside the top-40 and into the top-10 of the national ranks, where it remained throughout the majority of the spring campaign.Â
Pepperdine won three tournaments as a team on the season, including the Fresno State Classic, Yale Invitational West and WCC Championship. The Waves took home the WCC title for the 22nd time since 1998, claiming the trophy by 14 strokes as Eunseo Choi earned Medalist honors.Â
Pepperdine then secured a runner-up finish at the Stanford NCAA Regional, entering the NCAA Championship as the No. 11 seed before logging a T-5th finish in Carlsbad.
The Waves went on to reach the match play portion of competition at the NCAA Championship for the second time in the past four seasons. Pepperdine finished eighth after 72 holes of stroke play, reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals before falling to No. 1 Stanford in match play.Â
"A great season for the Waves," said head coach Laurie Gibbs. "The players did the hard work both in the classroom and in competition. We will miss our two wonderful seniors, Jeneath and Jenny, and look forward to another successful season in 2026-27!"
Three Waves also came in in the top-50 of final individual Differential Rankings.Â
Eunseo Choi came in at No. 18 on the final individual rankings, having earned WCC Player of the Year honors after winning the WCC Individual Championship. Choi logged two victories on the season, also winning the Fresno State Classic in March. Her strong play continued in the postseason, as she posted a top-10 finish at the NCAA Regional and top-20 finish at the NCAA Championship.Â
Kylee Choi is ranked No. 33 in the final individual rankings following a standout debut collegiate season, which saw her earn WCC Freshman of the Year. She recorded six top-5 finishes this season, finishing third at both the Golfweek Red Sky Classic and Bruin Wave Invitational. Choi was also a finalist for the WGCA Freshman of the Year, and finishes the season as the second-highest ranked freshman in the country behind Duke's Rianne Malixi.
Jeneath Wong finishes her senior season with a No. 41 individual ranking. Wong recorded four top-10 finishes this season, including a runner-up finish at the Fresno State Classic and a third place finish at the Stanford NCAA Regional. She matched the program record for low round in the second round at the NCAA Regional, firing a 63.
