PALO ALTO, Calif. — Pepperdine women's golf punched its ticket to the NCAA Championship with a second place finish at the Stanford NCAA Regional, completed Wednesday from Stanford Golf Course.
The Waves will head to the NCAA Championship for the 15th time in program history and third time in the past four seasons. The Championship will take place from May 22-27 from Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Among the 30 teams to qualify for the NCAA Championship, Pepperdine and Eastern Michigan are the lone two programs from a non-power four conference in the field.
Pepperdine finished -4 for the tournament at the regional, posting a +3 team score in Wednesday's final round, trailing only host Stanford among the 12 teams in the field.
Jeneath Wong logged a third place finish to lead the Waves as her -9 mark for the tournament set a new program best for low score at an NCAA Regional. Eunseo Choi also finished in the top-10 individually at -2.
Coach Kacey and I are very proud of how the players played at Regionals to qualify for the NCAA Championship, said head coach Laurie Gibbs. The team consistently played at a high level throughout the season and is excited to play next week in the NCAA Championship at La Costa.
Wong paced Pepperdine for the second straight round with a one under-70, giving her one of the 13 total rounds under par on the day. She scattered four birdies on the day to finish the 54-hole regional with 14 birdies and two eagles. Wong's -9 (71-63-70) score for the tournament put her in solo third place and was the low score from any non-Stanford player. It marked her fourth top-10 finish in 2025-26.
Eunseo Choi logged a 72 in the final round to give her a -2 (69-70-72) overall mark which was good for tenth place individually. Choi fired three birdies to post a 33 on the front nine, eventually finishing the day one over. The sophomore has now recorded seven top-10 finishes this season.
Kylee Choi finished the day and tournament at two over (71-71-73), to finish in a tie for 18th individually. Choi logged her lone birdie of the day on the first hole, as she has now maintained a top-20 finish in six straight tournaments.
Grace Anderson logged a 72 in Wednesday's final round to finish the week +5 (72-74-72) and in 26th individually. She logged three birdies on the front nine while making the turn at even par, before going one over on the back nine.
