SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - No. 13 Pepperdine men's golf completed round two at the Western Intercollegiate on Tuesday evening, taking a small slide back to seventh out of 15 teams.
The Waves started cold as a squad on the first five holes but improved as the day went on. Brady Siravo, Mahanth Chirravuri, and Willy Walsh led the way by shooting even on the day. Siravo was brilliant on nine, sinking an eagle before firing a pair of birdies on the back nine. He is in 15th place overall (96 players) heading into Wednesday's final round.
Chirravuri (20th overall) had a few bumps on the first 11 that included a couple of double-bogeys, but the sixth-ranked player in the nation gobbled up three birdies in a row to end the afternoon, marking consecutive days a Wave has recorded a turkey (Brady Siravo, yesterday).
Carson Kim has shot even in each of the first two rounds, good for 25th place overall, while Byungho Lee shot four-over and will enter the third round tomorrow two-over for the tournament.
Luke Dariotis finished three-over in round two and sits in 42nd place overall heading to the final round.
