MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine women's basketball (19-12, 10-8 WCC) will be hosting the first round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament Thursday night, the tournament announced Monday morning.
The Waves will host UC Davis (23-10, 15-5 Big West) out of the Bay Area March 19 at 6 p.m. The Aggies finished third in the Big West, behind UC Irvine and UC San Diego. If Pepperdine wins Thursday night, the team would face Southern Utah this weekend.
In Pepperdine's first postseason appearance in seven years, it is the program's first postseason game in Malibu ever. The full bracket can be found

The last time the Waves went to postseason play in the 2018-19 season, they won the opening two games of the WNIT before falling in the Super 16 to Wyoming.

ABOUT PEPPERDINE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Pepperdine women's basketball has made four NCAA postseason appearances in its history, having won the WCC regular-season four times and the WCC Tournament on three occasions. With six All-American selections in program history, the Waves have also seen success in the WNIT Tournament which included a run to the Sweet Sixteen in 2019.
