MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine men's tennis and Director of Tennis Adam Schaechterle have announced the full spring 2026 schedule.
The Waves will play nine dual matches at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center this spring. The Waves will take on ten NCAA Tournament teams — including three that made the final site — and 15 programs that finished in the final 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. This strong schedule is nothing new for the Waves as they faced 16 postseason teams and won six matches against Power-4 opponents last year.
"We have the toughest non-conference schedule in the country and bring some tremendous programs to Malibu," Schaechterle said. "We're excited to see how our group develops and we can't wait for the spring."
Pepperdine kicks off the season at home with a match against Florida Atlantic University on Jan. 18.
From there, the Waves will head to Tucson, Ariz. for the ITA Kickoff Weekend from Jan. 24-25, where they will face Florida State before taking on either LSU or Arizona. Should they go 2-0 that weekend, they will head to Texas for the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, held from Feb. 13-16.
The Waves return to Malibu for a five-match homestand, starting with a home match against Arizona on Jan. 30. A match against Arizona State wraps up the Arizona school series on Feb. 1, then Pepperdine hosts South Florida on Feb. 3. An NCAA Tournament rematch with Stanford looms on Feb. 6, then Pepperdine will host in-city foe UCLA on Feb. 7.
Over spring break, Pepperdine will embark on a massive five-match road swing that will span five different states. A match against Columbia on Feb. 27 kicks off the road trip, then Pepperdine heads north to take on Harvard on March 1. Two more matches against Ivy League opponents — a March 4 match at Yale and a March 6 match at Princeton — wrap up the East Coast portion of the trip. Two days later, Pepperdine will head to Middle Tennessee State for a return match from last year's home-and-home series with the Blue Raiders.
For the third time in four years, Pepperdine will compete at Indian Wells, Calif. for the UTR Collegiate Championships at the BNP, held during the BNP Paribas Open from March 13-15. Pepperdine will play two matches at the tournament against either Baylor, Arizona State or Memphis.
Pepperdine begins its West Coast Conference schedule on the road at Pacific and Saint Mary's from March 27-28. The home conference opener will be a doubleheader against Gonzaga and Portland on April 5 before the Waves host Santa Clara on April 9 for Senior Day.
Wrapping up the regular season, the Waves will head south to San Diego on April 12 for a pivotal match between the two WCC rivals. A road match against LMU on April 18 concludes the regular season.
This year, Pacific will host the West Coast Conference Championships at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center, located in Stockton, Ca. The tournament will take place from April 23-25.
In 2025, Pepperdine went 17-11 — including two home wins over top-10 teams — and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five years. Six players from last year's lineup are returning in 2026.
