Malibu, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the second year in a row, the AVCA announced Monday.
Pepperdine is one of 58 men's volleyball programs to receive the award, and one of 38 to do so in back-to-back years.
To be recognized, a team has to maintain a 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale for the entire school year. In addition, the Waves secured a spot on the Honor Roll, representing the top 20 percent of the team GPA in the division, one of four division-one schools to earn the distinction.
