CARLSBAD, Calif. – Mahanth Chirravuri of the Pepperdine men's golf team was named to the 2025 PING All-West Region team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Saturday.
Players across six regions and 82 schools earned all-region honors in 2025.
This season, Chirravuri leads the Waves with a 70.28 scoring average and six top-10 finishes. He's also marked 21 under-par rounds, along with seven top-20 finishes in the 12 events this year. His current scoring average of 70.28 would rank as the fourth-best season by a Wave in program history, and his current career scoring average of 70.84 has him second on the Waves all-time scoring average list. Additionally, his 21 below-par rounds during the 2024-25 campaign puts him in a tie for 3rd - alongside Sahith Theegala - on the Waves below-par rounds in a single season list.
This is Chirravuri's second consecutive year making the PING All-West Region team. During his junior campaign, he won the 2025 WCC Individual Championship and earned the WCC Golfer of the Month award in April. Chirravuri has also been named to the All-WCC first team each of the last two seasons. Before transferring to Pepperdine and playing at USC as a freshman, Chirravuri made the Pac-12 All-Freshman team and received All-Pac 12 honorable mention acclaim. He ranks #50 in the SCOREBOARD individual national rankings, and #56 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Chirravuri is currently 1-under after 18 holes at the 2025 NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif. He and the Waves will continue the tournament as they are set to start the second round at 11:50 a.m. this morning. Pepperdine will be paired with Georgia and Tennessee for Saturday's round, and live scoring can be found here.
