Â
Offensively, the Waves (5-17, 1-2) held the the Zags (8-13, 2-1) to no hits through nearly five innings, but the four hits would be enough to score three in the last three innings to steal the game 3-2.

Â
RECAP
Â
The Sunday series finale mirrored a defensive battle to be expected between two Friday aces on the mound. Stewart, in his sixth start this season, allowed just one hit through the first 5.0 innings of his appearance, keeping the Zags off the board the majority of the game.
Â
With a 0-0 score, Upstill got his first homer of the year over the right field wall in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Waves a 1-0 lead.
Â
Responding immediately in the top of the sixth, Gonzaga got two on two hits to take a 2-1 lead. Tacking another one in the eighth, the Zags led 3-1 at the end of eight.
Â
With one inning of offense left, Savage hit his second home run of the year to give Pepperdine life. Unable to get baserunners, the Waves' momentum left as soon as it came and Gonzaga took the series with the 3-2 win.
