ORLANDO, Fla. — Pepperdine women's tennis sophomore
Anastasiia Grechkina is set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division I Singles Championship Nov. 18-23 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
Grechkina will begin with her round of 64 matchup Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET against Georgia's Anastasiia Lopata.
All matches for the Championship will be streamed live on
ESPN+. When available, live scoring links will be posted on pepperdinewaves.com.
Grechkina qualified for the tournament through her singles title at the ITA Southwest Regionals this past month. She has posted a 16-2 singles record this fall, emerging as one of the top singles players in the nation and entering the tournament as the No. 6 seed overall. Six of the 16 victories this season have come against ranked opponents, as Grechkina was tabbed at No. 37 in the preseason ITA rankings released in August.
A premier first round matchup, Georgia's Lopata is ranked No. 9 in the ITA rankings and qualified after being co-champion alongside teammate Anastasiia Gureva at the ITA Southeast Regionals. The victor will take on either Auburn's Ava Esposito or USC's Krisha Mahendran in a round of 32 matchup Wednesday.
Hosted by the University of Central Florida and the USTA, this is the second year of a two-year pilot for the singles and doubles championships to be conducted in the fall, with the team championships continuing to be in the spring. All matches will be the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreaker at six-games-all will be used for all matches.
Players who earn a singles round of 16 appearance or a doubles quarterfinal appearance will receive ITA All-American recognition following the tournament.
