MALIBU, Calif. - Head Coach Marcio Sicoli and his staff announced today that Kenzi McSpadden will join the Pepperdine beach volleyball team's 2025 roster.
"Noelle, Chris and I are stoked to add Kenzi to the roster," said Sicoli. "Kenzi brings maturity and a strong presence to the net which will bring an immediate impact on the court. Additionally, her faith and competitiveness will contribute tremendously to our team culture! Welcome to Malibu Kenzi!"
McSpadden, originally from Parker, Colo., went to Lutheran High School before competing for the Missouri State Bears beach volleyball team.
While in high school, McSpadden was a three-year varsity starter and won three league and district championships. She also garnered All-Metro first team, All-District first team, All-State honorable mention honors and was on the academic honor roll.
After redshirting for Missouri State in 2023, McSpadden collected an 11-3 record during the 2024 season for the Bears. She was also on the Missouri State Athletic Director's honor roll and the Conference USA Commissioner's honor roll.
McSpadden has also played for the LAB One club team for four years. Additionally, she is a three-time USAV National Qualifier, a top-ten USAV national finisher and an AVP national qualifier.
"I chose Pepperdine for the challenging academics and athletics as well as the location of the school," said McSpadden. "Pepperdine has so many great professors as well as coaches that I know will make me a better student athlete. The location of the school is also incredible, and I love how close it is to the ocean."
