Beach Volleyball Earns Ninth-Straight AVCA Team Academic Award

MALIBU, Calif. — The Pepperdine beach volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the ninth-consecutive year. A record number, more than 1,400 programs earned the award this year.

In order to earn the AVCA's Team Academic Award, programs must maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) during the academic year.

Earlier this spring, seven members of the team were named to the WCC All-Academic team, while Kate Clermont, McKenna Thomas and Sarlota Svobodova earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
