
Pepperdine Women's Golf Adds Stellar Recruit to 2024 Roster

MALIBU, Calif. – Head coach Laurie Gibbs announced today the signing of top recruit, Eunseo Choi of New Zealand, who will join the Pepperdine women's golf team for the 2024-25 season.

Ranked #111 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) … One of the highest-ranked recruits in the incoming 2028 freshman class … Won the New Zealand Women's Stroke Play Championship in 2024 … Placed third in the 2024 Australian Women's Amateur Championship … Amassed six top-10 finishes in 2024, including fourth at the Australian Girls Amateur, sixth at the Queen Sirikit Cup and ninth at the Women's Australian Masters of the Amateurs … Also finished 16th at the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship … Won the Auckland Provincial Match Play Championship in 2023 … Took second at 2023 Australian Girls Amateur … Finished sixth at the Women's Australian Masters of the Amateurs, as well as 17th at the Toyota Junior World Cup, 23rd at the Australian Women's Amateur Championship … Top-35 at the World Amateur Team Championship, Queen Sirikit Cup and Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship … Has been a member of the New Zealand National Golf Academy since 2022 … Represented New Zealand in the Espirito Santo Trophy World Amateur in Abu Dhabi and the Queen Sirikit Cup.

Malibu has excellent golf weather year-round and the on-campus practice facilities and local country clubs give me an added advantage. I have enjoyed getting to know Coach Laurie and was amazed by the enthusiasm and work ethic in which she guides her players. I am eagerly looking forward to being able to play on the team and represent the Waves."
