The Waves (15-10) defeated UC Davis (16-13) 4-1 in dominant fashion in the morning.

Pepperdine jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with a pair of three-set victories as
Kristine Briede (Balozi, Latvia) and
Madison Oriskovich (Santa Barbara, Calif.) took court two 19-21, 21-11, 15-7 and
Gracie Pedersen (Franklin, Tenn.) and
Kaydon Meyers (Scottsdale, Ariz.) won court four 21-16, 16-21, 15-12.
In slot No. 5, the Aggies would cut Pepperdine's lead in half to 2-1 as they won in straight sets 21-18, 21-17.
Kate Clermont (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) and
McKenna Thomas (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) would be the pair to clinch the dual for the Waves as they earned a two-set victory on court one, 21-15, 21-13.
Gabbie Perez (Loomis, Calif.) and
Kristine Briede (Balozi, Latvia) would make the final score 4-1 in favor of Pepperdine as they won court three in straight sets, 21-13, 21-19.
SCARLETT FERGUSON
At the conclusion of today's match, Scarlett Ferguson officially signed to join the Pepperdine beach volleyball program and Waves family. Pepperdine is excited to welcome Scarlett as the newest member of the beach volleyball program through Team Impact.
NEXT UP
Next weekend, the Waves will head to San Luis Obispo, Calif. for the Center of Effort Challenge as they face USC, TCU and Long Beach State. Pepperdine will play additional duals after competing against Long Beach State, but the opponent will be determined later.
