RECAP

Pepperdine stayed locked at zeros with Villanova through the first four innings. Each team tallied four hits but couldn't find a way around the bases. The Wildcats would break through in the top of the fifth when a single to right field with bases loaded scored two. Villanova would tack one more on, leading 3-0 going into the bottom of the fifth.

The Waves were unable to find an answer in the fifth as the Wildcats would score three more on a sac bunt as well as a double down the left field line.

Villanova would close the game out to win 6-0.
