Pepperdine Women's Golf Signs Top Recruit for 2025

MALIBU, Calif.Head coach Laurie Gibbs announced today the signing of top recruit, Kylee Choi from Murrieta, California, who will join the Pepperdine women's golf team in August 2025.

Played in the 2024 Women's North and South Amateur at Pinehurst #2 finishing in third place as a semi-finalist … Played in the R&A British Girls Amateur and finished in third place as a semi-finalist … Finished in third place at the AJGA Mizuno West Coast Classic … Finished in fifth place at the 2023 PGA Junior Championship and second at the AJGA K.J. Choi Foundation Junior Championship … Played in the 2022 U.S. Women's Open … Won two Cactus Tour events … As a junior golfer, has finished in the top-5 of eight AJGA tournaments … Lowest tournament score 6-under 65 was the course record at the 2024 U.S. Girls Junior at El Caballero Country Club … Also has the course record of 5-under at Pronghorn Resort in 2020.
 
Gibbs says: "Kylee has been successful competing at the highest level of junior, amateur and professional golf. She has worked hard to prepare for being a student-athlete at Pepperdine. We are excited to have Kylee be one of the leaders of our team."
 
Choi says: "I decided to attend Pepperdine because I knew that I would have the opportunity to become a better golfer while playing college golf. I really love that Pepperdine is a private Christian university that will be very beneficial and amazing for me."
 
Pepperdine will pick up the 2024-25 campaign in Palos Verdes, Calif., competing at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge from February 2-4.
