MALIBU, Calif. - Head Coach
Marcio Sicoli and his staff announced today that Michaela Cyrani, Alice Jagielska and Maddy Snow will join the Pepperdine beach volleyball team's 2026 roster.

Michaela Cyrani – Prague, Czech Republic. – English College in Prague

"We are excited to add Michaela to our team," Sicoli said. "Michaela is an exceptional player from the Czech Republic and we are excited to have her. We fell in love with her work ethic and her ability on defense. She will bring an immediate impact to our program and we hope to help her develop into an exceptional player who can one day represent her country in the Olympics!"

A U20 European champion … Won a U19 World Championship in China … Was a U18 Central European champion and a Czech Republic runner-up … Played for the B.V.S.P club for four years and coaches the younger athletes in the club … Enjoys playing the piano and drums.

Cyrani said she chose to attend Pepperdine because "Pepperdine has strong academics, a close community, an impressive beach volleyball program and it's the perfect place to grow and make a difference."

Alice Jagielska – Harrow, London – St. Helens

 "We are thrilled to bring Alice to Malibu from the United Kingdom," Sicoli said. Her drive and versatility on the sand stood out to us from the start. She is a great defender and blocker and will impact our program with her athleticism! I want to thank her beach coach in the UK, Kirk Pitman, for assisting in the recruiting process and helping to prepare her to potentially be in the Olympics one day!"

Won the U17 beach championships with Sandbanks UK in 2023 … Also in 2023, took second at the U19 beach championships with Sandbanks UK … Earned a third-place finish at the UKBT Senior Championship in 2024 … Took fifth at the Youth Commonwealth games in 2023 … Also took fifth at the Senior NEVZA in Sweden in 2024 … Earned a top-20 finish at the CEV European Championships in 2024 in both Poland and Georgia … Earned the most dedicated athlete award for her high school in 2022.

"I'm so excited to bring Maddy to our squad," Sicoli said. "Maddy's desire to improve and her competitive drive really stood out to us. Her strength and unique arm swing will impact our offense right away. Furthermore, I believe she can be one of our top leaders on and off the court because of her drive to excel in everything she does! Welcome to Malibu Maddy!"
Competed for the Wave Beach Volleyball and BRUSA Beach Volleyball clubs for two years each … In indoor volleyball, made the All-League first team her junior and senior year … Was the team MVP her sophomore and junior year … Helped her team make the state playoffs her sophomore and senior year … Her aunt played indoor volleyball for Pepperdine under the guidance of Nina Matthias in 2002 … Her dad played basketball at Fresno Pacific and her uncle played football at San Diego State and Oregon.

Snow said she chose to attend Pepperdine because "of its academics, positive culture, beautiful location and elite beach volleyball coaches."
