Kaydon Meyers Named to 2023 AVCA Junior Beach All-America Team

MALIBU, Calif. – In its 10th group since the award was instituted in 2013, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced that Pepperdine beach volleyball newcomer Kaydon Meyers was named to the 2023 AVCA Junior Beach All-America honorable mention team. She was one of 22 high school senior athletes to earn this award.

Meyers (Scottsdale, Ariz./ASU Preparatory Academy)  is no stranger to success and has competed at a high level her entire career. She took ninth in the AVP Nationals two times, fifth in the AAU Junior Olympics, fifth in the AVP East Coast Championships, fifth in the AVP West Coast Championships, second in the BVCA West Coast Pairs Championships and first in the P1440 Arizona Championships. Meyers also has numerous gold bracket finishes at the BVCA, AAU and AVP Nationals and was a member of the RPM beach volleyball squad that took third place at the BVCA Club vs. Club National Championships.

In addition to her success on the court, Meyers is a stellar student having been a member of the National Honor Society from 2020-2023. She also served as her school's National Honor Society Vice President.

Pepperdine is coming off a second place finish in the West Coast Conference Tournament last year and Meyers looks to continue her success on the court to help the Waves to a successful campaign in 2024.
