Pepperdine Men's Golf Announces 2023-24 Schedule
8/24/2023 10:57:00 AM | Men's Golf
MALIBU, Calif. – After three-consecutive trips to match play at the NCAA Championships including an NCAA championship title in 2021, the Pepperdine men's golf team will face another formidable schedule in 2023-24, as head coach Michael Beard announced the program's slate of tournaments for the upcoming campaign.Â
Â
"We are extremely excited about our schedule this year," said Beard.  "Our guys will be competing all over the country, playing in the strongest fields in college golf.
Â
"We have three events held on courses that have hosted major championships – Sahalee, Olympia Fields and TPC Harding Park. We also have the privilege of playing an event at Cypress Point Club, site of the 2025 Walker Cup and one of the most picturesque and photographed golf courses in the world. Each tournament will be a great test and we are looking forward to the challenge."
Â
The Waves will face many of the same tournaments as they did during the 2022-23 season, highlighted by five tournaments in each the fall and spring prior to the postseason push. Pepperdine's own Southwestern Invitational will be January 29-31 at North Ranch Country Club.Â
Â
The Waves have welcome five new faces this year, welcoming transfers Mahanth Chirravuri (USC) and Joshua Koo (Washington), as well as freshmen Curtis Da Silva, Kristoffer Kuvaas and William Walsh. Sophomore Brady Siravo will return this year as well.
Â
This past season, Pepperdine advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals and finished with national rankings of #5 by Golfstat, #8 in the Bushnell Golfweek coaches poll and #10 by Golfweek/Sagarin. The Waves won a pair of prominent tournaments, including The Prestige and 76th Western Intercollegiate.Â
