MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's soccer team scored an equalizing goal four minutes after the lead goal to gain a 2-2 tie against Michigan on Saturday afternoon at Tari Frahm Rokus Field.
The Waves (0-0-2) dominated the first half over the Wolverines (0-1-1), outshooting Michigan 8-2 and converting on a penalty-kick to take an early 1-0 lead. The Wolverines answered in the second half putting pressure on the Waves and went ahead 2-1. Pepperdine did not back down and scored the equalizer four minutes after Michigan's second goal and held them the rest of the game.

Pepperdine 23': Senior forward
Tori Waldeck (Newhall, Calif./Hart HS) was fouled on the left side of the box. Waldeck earned a penalty kick that senior midfielder
Skylar Enge (Cardiff, Calif./Pacific Ridge School) successfully converted. This was Enge's first goal of the season and first career penalty-kick.
Michigan 47': The Wolverines had a shot on goal that was saved by the Waves' goalkeeper, but off the rebound, the ball rolled to the left foot of Michigan's Gabrielle Prych, who tapped the ball into the back of the net.
Michigan 53': Kacey Lawrence of Michigan sent a right-footed pass to Sammi Woods as they approached the box, Woods then got control of the ball and found the back of the net off a right-footed shot.
Pepperdine 57': Pepperdine earned a free kick on a Michigan foul that was headed out by freshman midfielder
Ava Verplancke (Irvine, Calif./Portola HS). Off the bounce of Verplancke's header, the ball one-hopped to sophomore midfielder
Tatum Wynalda's (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake HS) right foot. Wynalda then tapped it in off her right-foot into the back of the net. This was Wynalda's second goal of the season.
