MALIBU, Calif. – After another strong cross country season in head coach Lauren Floris' second season at the helm of the program, the Pepperdine men's and women's cross country team is eager to get back on the course and have announced the fall 2023 schedule today.
"This season includes some of our perennial favorites with fast courses and competition and some new races, such as the LMU's South Bay Twilight Invitational," Floris said.
The 2023 schedule is highlighted by the Waves Invitational meet, which will be held at the picturesque Alumni Park. Last season, the Waves' women took first place in the meet, while the men took second, respectively. In addition, for the first time since 2013, Pepperdine will be the host of this year's West Coast Conference Cross Country Championships.
"I'm most excited that we'll have not just one home meet but two," Floris added. "It was great to see our Pepperdine community come out to support our team at the Waves Invite last year and this season the WCC Championships will be hosted at Alumni Park as well."
