SPOKANE, Wash. –  Pepperdine cross country ended their morning in Spokane for the West Coast Conference Championships from The Course Spokane Valley. The men finished 7thth in the 8K and the women placed 12th in the 6K.
 
Lizzy Crawford was the top Wave in the women's 6K. She finished in 21:41.8, which was good for 33rd individually. The next blue and orange runner to cross was Grace Simpson at 23:04.6 in 69th.
 
Gordy Nilsen led the charge in the men's 8K. He finished 34th with a time of 24:48.1. Elijah Gentry was next up for the waves in 39th (25:04.4). Dominic Silhol also finished in the top-50. His time of 25:18.9 earned 47th.
 
Washington State won both events as a team while having each individual champion as well.

The final scheduled event for Pepperdine cross country is the NCAA West Regional Championship on Friday, Nov. 14. The team will travel to Sacramento, Calif. in the hopes of continuing their individual seasons.

ABOUT PEPPERDINE CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK
The Pepperdine cross country/track program has a rich history dating back to the 1950s with six total individual national championships to come through the program. As one of the original three programs sponsored by then George Pepperdine College in 1937, the Waves immediately began to make a mark on the track world stage with eight total Olympians and multiple regional champions throughout the program's history.
