MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine baseball team will host PCH Cup rival LMU in the last three-game home West Coast Conference series. Prior to game three on Sunday, the Waves will honor its seven seniors:

SERIES VS. LMU: The Waves lead the overall series against the Lions 157-90. Last season, Pepperdine took the series 2-1 over LMU on the Lions' home turf.
PCH CUP: An annual all-sport competition between two local rivals that are separated by just 19.1 miles of scenic coastline, the PCH Cup is in its 14th season of existence. Pepperdine has won 11 of the 13 years that this competition has been held.
LAST GAME: Last time on the field, the Waves visited CSUN for a midweek contest and defeated the Matadors 10-7. After falling behind 2-0, the Waves scored four runs in the top of the third inning to take the lead over the Matadors and held CSUN scoreless until the eighth inning when they tried to make a comeback. Pepperdine was able to shut it down in the bottom of the ninth to collect the win.
Quintt Landis was 2-for-4 on the day including a walk and a RBI.
Jack Basseer was also 2-for-4 including a walk and crossed the plate twice. Basseer's two runs scored tied his career-high.
Luke Pemberton tied his career-high in hits (two) and runs scored (two).
John Peck hit his sixth home run of the season, which was a three-run blast.
Nick Bonn threw 3.0 innings in relief to collect his fourth win of the season. Bonn currently has an overall record of 4-1.
Jack Baird threw 1.0 innings in relief to collect his sixth save of the season.
RECORD WATCHIN': Ryan Johnson currently has 35 career home runs and is currently tied for third on the Pepperdine career all-time list with Brad Bierley (1982-85). The current school record in career home runs is 45 and held by Dane Sardinha (1998-00). On the season, Johnson has hit 16 home runs and is now tied for seventh on the all-time single season list with G.J. Raymundo (1999).
HONORS: Ryan Johnson notched the season's first West Coast Conference weekly honors for the Pepperdine baseball team when he was named Player of the Week on March 6. He batted a .571 and had an 11 RBI week, while posting back-to-back games with two home runs and five RBI to tie a career-high in RBI. In four appearances last week, Johnson only had two strikeouts and scored seven runs. He ended the week with five homers and a double.
Shane Telfer earned the second West Coast Conference weekly honors for Pepperdine as he was named the Pitcher of the Week on March 27. He threw 6.0 scoreless innings against Gonzaga in the series-opening 15-0 victor en route to his third win of the season. Telfer held the Bulldogs to only two hits and five walks, while earning eight strikeouts, two shy from his career-high.
John Peck collected the third West Coast Conference weekly honors for the Waves being named Player of the Week on April 10. In four games, Peck batted a .550, had a slugging percentage of .850 and helped Pepperdine go 3-1 last week. On April 4 against Cal Poly, Peck was 3-for-5 including a double and two triples. His two triples against the Mustangs was the first time this season he hit two in one game and the second time in his career. In game one of the WCC series against Saint Mary's, Peck was 4-for-5 and scored three runs for the Waves. He also had two hits in game two, brought in two runs and stole a base against the Gaels. On Sunday, in the rubber match, Peck again had two hits versus Saint Mary's including a double.
WCC LEADERS: The Waves rank top-five in runs (287) and home runs (45).
Pepperdine also has multiple Waves in the top-20 in WCC stats.
Ryan Johnson leads the conference in home runs (16) and fourth in RBI (41).
John Peck is 12th in the conference in stolen bases (eight) and 20th in RBI (1).
Jack Basseer is 17th in the WCC in batting average (.338). On the pitching side,
Jack Baird is tied for second on the leaderboard in saves (six).
Shane Telfer is tied for eight in wins (four) and eighth in strikeouts (60).
Nick Bonn is also tied for eighth in wins (four).
OFFENSIVE STREAKS: John Peck leads the Waves in a reached base streak with 27 straight games.
Lincoln Orellana has the second longest reached base streak with 24 games.
Quintt Landis is on a 17-game reached base streak and a 12-game hitting streak.
