MALIBU, California –
Tim Zeitvogel of the Pepperdine men's tennis program has been selected to receive the prestigious Pepperdine University George Award as the outstanding MS student in Business Analytics. This is the highest award given by the Graziadio Business School for students, alumni, faculty and corporate partners.
"Tim has maximized every aspect of the Pepperdine experience," head coach
Adam Schaechterle said. "He has achieved excellence academically, athletically and holistically. We are grateful he represents our program and our university.
"On a personal level, it has been deeply fulfilling to support Tim as a coach. He is a lifelong friend and I can't wait to cheer on his pursuits in the years to come."
The graduate student, currently ranked #38 by the ITA in doubles, is pursuing a master's degree in business analytics and currently has a 4.0 GPA. His cumulative undergraduate GPA was 3.99. Zeitvogel received the prestigious 2022 Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship Award, which goes to a Division I men's tennis player who displays sportsmanship, character, excellent academics and has had outstanding tennis playing accomplishments.
"It is one of the greatest honors to be recognized for the hard work as a student-athlete," Zeitvogel said. "The environment Pepperdine, but in particular the athletic department, provides, helps young men and women to flourish and become better people on the field or court but also outside of their sport. A big thanks goes to Adam and Tassilo (Schmid), my coaches, for believing in me before I came to Pepperdine in 2019 and helping me throughout the years to become the person I am today."
