SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine competed three times last week, falling to #11 Columbia at home before rebounding to defeat #31 Oklahoma State. On Sunday, the Waves competed in the first-ever UTR College Match Challenge: BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, hanging tough with #8 USC before falling 4-3. #79 Tim Zeitvogel went 3-0 in singles play last week, earning him WCC singles player of the week honors. #62 Daniel De Jonge is just one win away from 50 career singles wins. Together, the pair is ranked 58th in doubles by the ITA. Pietro Fellin and Maxi Homberg each have seven singles wins to lead the Waves, while Homberg and Eero Vasa lead the squad with six doubles wins.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
LMU has already matched its win total from last season, earning victories this spring against UC Riverside, UC Irvine, San Diego State, Utah State, Idaho, Denver and Navy. In addition to UC Irvine, the Lions have played two common opponents of Pepperdine – falling to both UC Santa Barbara and Arizona State. Emin Torlic leads LMU with an 8-2 singles record. No Lions are ranked by the ITA in either singles or doubles.

California has played a challenging schedule thus far, facing ranked opponents in Florida State, Stanford, San Diego, Columbia, SMU, Arizona State and Arizona. Last weekend in Pac 12 play the Bears defeated Arizona State before falling 4-3 to Arizona.
