SERIES HISTORY
Pepperdine has had the edge over Stanford as of late, winning five of the last six matches. The last Cardinal win in Palo Alto came in 2015. Last season, Pepperdine dominated #25 Stanford in Malibu, winning 4-1.
Pepperdine and Cal met three times last season, with all three matches coming down to the wire. In a top-10 season opener, the #7 Bears got the better of Pepperdine in Malibu last January with a 4-3 win. Cal won another 4-3 decision in March in Berkeley, but the Waves defeated Cal 4-1 at the 2022 ITA National Team Indoor Championships to advance to the semifinals.

Pepperdine had little trouble in its opening weekend of the dual season, collecting 4-0 sweeps over both Clemson and Memphis to advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Seattle in mid-February. #12
Janice Tjen (Jakarta, Indonesia) won both singles matches over the weekend, while
Lisa Zaar (Stockholm, Sweden), #21
Savannah Broadus (Carrollton, Texas),
Nikki Redelijk (Windermere, Fla.) and
Anna Campana (Hillsborough, Calif.) also won singles matches. The fourth-ranked doubles pair of Broadus and Tjen, along with Redelijk and Zaar, each won a pair of doubles matches as well.

Stanford also punched its ticket to ITA Indoors with a pair of sweeps, taking down both Kansas State and Florida State last weekend. Their other win was a 7-0 win over UC Davis. Four singles players and a doubles pair are ranked for the Cardinal: #11 Connie Ma, #38 Yepifanova, #44 Alexis Blokhina, #45 Angelica Blake and #36 Blokhina/Yepifanova.
