SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The #5 Pepperdine women's tennis program earned its third West Coast Conference win of the season with a shutout of San Francisco, 4-0, at the Golden Gate Park on Monday afternoon.
This was the third consecutive shutout for Pepperdine (13-3, 3-0 WCC) and the 18th win in a row over the Dons (8-6, 1-2 WCC).
The teams went straight into singles, and Pepperdine took four matches to clinch the win. #82 Savannah Broadus (Carrolton, Texas) defeated Caragh Courtney 6-0, 6-0, #9 Shiori Fukuda (Tokyo, Japan) earned a 6-2, 6-0 win over Maria Martinez Vaquero, #98 Nikki Redelijk (Windermere, Fla.) was a 6-1, 6-3 victor over Hana Gamracy and #36 Taisiya Pachkaleva (Moscow, Russia) claimed a 7-5, 6-1 triumph against Simran Chhabra.
