MALIBU, California – The #7 Pepperdine women's tennis program stays home this weekend, hosting three schools as part of the national ITA Kick-Off event. The winner of the four-team weekend will receive a bid to the ITA National Indoor Team Championships in Madison, Wisconsin, from February 10-14.

SERIES HISTORY: This will be the first-ever meeting between Pepperdine and Columbia. The Waves hold a 6-0 series lead against Colorado and a 4-3 record all-time against Notre Dame.

SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine opened its season with a 4-3 defeat at home against #9 California.
Shiori Fukuda (Tokyo, Japan) and
Lisa Zaar (Stockholm, Sweden) recorded singles wins while the doubles duos of
Savannah Broadus (Carrollton, Texas) and
Janice Tjen (Jakarta, Indonesia) along with Fukuda/
Anastasia Iamachkine (Lima, Peru) earned victories as well.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Columbia competed in two dual matches on Sunday, January 23, defeating both LIU and Sacred Heart handily. Colorado had its opening weekend in Indiana canceled, while Notre Dame went 2-1 on its opening weekend. The Irish fell to Kentucky on January 21 before bouncing back to defeat Michigan State and Bowling Green on January 22.
