PEPPERDINE 2021-22: Went 12-4 in overall singles matches, including a 4-1 record in dual play from the sixth spot … Won 15 of 22 doubles matches and went 8-5 in dual doubles play, primarily playing with Taisiya Pachkaleva … WCC All-Academic honorable mention … Named to the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the third time.
PEPPERDINE 2020-21: Did not play majority of season due to injury … Returned to play in the NCAA Tournament in dual doubles with partner Jessica Failla, going 3-3 on court three … Defeated the #34 pair of Alle Sanford and Reilly Tran of North Carolina in the tournament semifinals, eventually leading to a 4-3 victory for the Waves … Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status as a junior.
PEPPERDINE 2019-20: Finished sophomore dual season ranked #33 in singles and #55 in doubles with partner Jessica Failla … Two-time WCC Singles Player of the Week (2/18, 2/25) … Went 6-3 in dual singles at the #2 and #3 positions … Awarded WCC All-Academic honorable mention status … Named to WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll (bronze) and a Pepperdine Scholar Athlete.
PEPPERDINE 2018-19: Garnered All-WCC singles honorable mention and All-WCC doubles second team honors … Appeared in 31 singles and 38 doubles matches as a freshman … Finished season ranked #41 in doubles with partner Jessica Failla … Earned a .774 winning percentage (24-7) at #6 singles and a .684 percentage (26-12) at #1 (11-6) and 2 (2-1) doubles … Went undefeated in singles during WCC regular season where she only allowed a maximum of three points.
JUNIORS: Before Pepperdine, amassed a universal tennis ranking of #11 … Also ranked as high as #77 in the ITF juniors rankings … Compiled a 63-40 singles record and a 58-36 doubles record in ITF juniors action … Played Roland Garros and US Open Juniors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Nebraska High School, an online-based high school, in 2018 … Also attended Russian Embassy High School from 2005-16.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Petr Yamashkin and Natalia Samarina … Has one brother Petr (Pedro) Iamachkine who played four years of collegiate men’s tennis at Pepperdine and graduated in 2018 … Majoring in marketing and communications … Stated what she loves most about tennis is “it helps me travel a lot around the world, giving me the chance to learn about different cultures and meet people from different countries.”

WHY YOU CHOSE PEPPERDINE: “I chose Pepperdine for several reasons. First, it has a very competitive tennis team and dedicated coaches. I know that in this environment I can improve my tennis game. Also, Pepperdine has an absolutely beautiful campus with good weather.”
