Women's Tennis Heads to Las Vegas for Freeman Memorial Championship

MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine women's tennis program begins 2022 with a trip to Las Vegas for the 19th annual Freeman Memorial Women's Tennis Championships at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.

Six teams will make the trip to Nevada for the event, with four teams being ranked in the top 20 in the initial ITA rankings – #2 Pepperdine, #5 UCLA, #17 Stanford and #20 Florida. Oklahoma State and UNLV will also participate this weekend.

Both singles and doubles draws will be played over the course of the weekend. There is a 32 player draw in singles and a 16 pair draw in doubles, with both brackets kicking off on Friday. Pepperdine will send seven players to Las Vegas to compete: Lisa Zaar, Victoria Flores, Anastasia Iamachkine, Janice Tjen, Nikki Redelijk, Shiori Fukuda and Savannah Broadus.
