Women's Basketball Non-Conference Schedule Released

MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's basketball team looks to start the 2021-22 season off strong with a well-built non-conference schedule to prepare for West Coast Conference play. Highlights include games against UCLA of the Pacific-12, UC Santa Barbara, Cal State Fullerton and CSU Bakersfield of the Big West and University of Alabama-Birmingham of Conference USA.
The Waves will play a home exhibition against Cal State L.A. on November 5th and then begin non-conference play heading to UCLA on November 10th and will travel back home to Firestone Fieldhouse for four home games against Eastern Washington (11/14), UCSB (11/20), UAB (11/24) and Cal State Fullerton (11/27).
Pepperdine will end November visiting CSU Bakersfield on November 30th. The Waves will hit the road heading to California Baptist on December 2nd and Portland State on December 10th. For the final non-conference game of the year, the Waves will host Boise State on December 18th.
"We are grateful to be playing again and are excited to open the season against a talented UCLA team along with a strong preseason schedule that will prepare us for a very talented WCC top to bottom," said head coach Kristen Dowling.
The Waves will open up WCC play at home against Pacific on December 30th. Pepperdine returns 11 players this season along with three newcomers to the squad.
